Bishop Charles Mitchell

Bishop Charles E. Mitchell Sr. holds a Bachelor and a Master's degree in Pastoral Theology from the Metropolitan Theological Seminary of New York. He was awarded an Honorary Doctoral Degree of Divinity from the Metropolitan Christian University of Louisville KY on Nov 2021.

Bishop Mitchell served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged. 

 

Bishop Charles E. Mitchell Sr. accepted his call, to the Gospel Ministry and began preaching under the pastorate of the late Dr. T. Van B. Rhoe, at the Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Newark in 1983.

 

He was ordained in 1987. There he served 18 years and was the first Youth Minister in the history of the Church. 

In March of 2002, Bishop was called to serve as Senior Pastor for True Vine Baptist Church in Asbury Park, NJ. There he served for 18 years. The longest Pastor in the Church's history. 

 

Bishop Mitchell was consecrated and appointed to the position of 3rd Presiding prelate of Church Alive Ministries International under the direction of ArchBishop Donald J. Washington, Columbus Ohio in

•    Retired from the Essex County Sheriff's Officer after 25 Years of service 02/2020.

Bishop Mitchell is currently the Senior Pastor of Project Redirect Ministries of Roselle NJ.

Bishop Mitchell has been married to his beautiful wife Elder Robin Starr for over 38 years. They are the proud parents of two sons, Charles 2nd and Elder Michael. 

Bishop Charles E. Mitchell Sr. believes in empowering the people by teaching and preaching the word of GOD. 

 

Some call him a walking bible. He believes that God will give you a destiny that's not written on paper but etched in stone.
